2.0 - TUTORIAL SETUP

Download all of the files from the CNM Tutorial Dwgs folder into a directory of your choice (possibly C:\CNM Tutorial).   You will have to create this directory.

Go to the folder C:\CNM Tutorial and open the drawings that were copied to your hard drive called "Site plan.dwg", "Utility plan.dwg",  "Landscape plan.dwg", and "Cover plan".   Go to "Site plan.dwg first.

(If you can only open one plan at a time, then open Site plan.dwg first)

Note:

These are simple plans showing a typical building, parking area, and several utilities. (If this by any remote chance resembles your project - then like they say - great minds think alike, and it is purely coincidental) Each drawing has a layout tab showing the plan in a viewport. The drawing will open the plan in paperspace. (CNM can insert notes into either paper space or model space) The model space plan is drawn at a 1:1 scale in decimal units and the viewport in paperspace has the plan setup up to be at a 20 scale. The viewport in the site plan and landscape plan has been rotated so that north is up. The viewport in the utility plan has been rotated in order to show how notes works with rotated view. The viewports have been locked, and the UCS is set to world in each plan.
