Quantity Take-off Table and Key Notes Table widths

In CNM.ini in your project folder or the application folder (if you want to make the changes default for future projects), there are width variables you can change. See the list below:

NumberToDescriptionWidth=2.5
DescriptionToQuantityWidth=56
QuantityToQuantityWidth=9
QuantityToUnitsWidth=1

Can I ask where was the CNM.INI file you edited?

1. If you edit the file in the application folder, it will only affect future new projects.

2. If you edit the file in the project folder (likely the same folder) as your drawings, it will only affect that project.

Please check that you are editing the file you want to be editing.

We have reduced the width of the text to be OK, but the quantities are currently off the page. I am sure there is a setting I am overlooking…can you look at the drawing and let me know how to fix this?

The only other idea I have is to put it in model space and make 2 view ports, but quantities can easily get mixed up…

Curtis,

Because Andy said "Quantities", I totally misunderstood the problem. You are having trouble with the Key Notes Table. To adjust that width, you need to edit the block that CNM is inserting. It is probably the NOTEQTY0.DWG or NOTEQTY.DWG block if you are just using one phase column (in other words, not using phases). Just make the block narrower. If you want to have multiple columns of key notes (say across the top of a sheet), you will also need to edit these values in CNM.INI.

TableWidth=5 <=== This is an unrealistically low value. I would expect something like 40 to 60 text heights
PhaseWidthAdd=4 <=== This is an unrealistically low value. I would expect something like 8 to 12 text heights
