"2D/3D point" error

Postby myrna kuki » Thu Jun 12, 2008 8:51 am

Unknown command "HCNM-CNMKT". Press F1 for help.
; error: bad argument type: 2D/3D point: nil

This is an error I recieved when I tried to run my notes. I used CNM to insert my notes and have 2 notes bubbles inserted to test my new sheet. I also have 2 sample or test notes in the editor.

Any idea where to start looking?
sometimes, because of space, we want the note number to read horizontally but need the note text to read vertically. can this be done?

First, about going vertical with the note, yes, you can rotate the block or define a block that is vertical by default. I often find myself copying a note around a drawing instead of inserting using the commands. You could do this with a vertical copy.

Now, about the other error, I am unfortunately stumped. Here are some things to check:

-Try sending me more of your command history starting with the menu invocation
-Is ATTREQ set to 1? Try changing it back and forth between 0 and 1.
-Try turning cmdecho to 1 and then sending me the command dump leading up to the error.
-Does any part of the Key Notes Table get inserted at all?

I don't know what happened since I last tried to run the notes, but I had closed the drawing and then reopened it to do other work and just tried running the notes again. They ran fine this time.

It gives me no idea what happened.

Thanks.

Thank you.

And it was so good to finally meet you in person at the CAD Camp.
