"Command: HCNM-cnmkt ; error: bad argument type: strin

I started with the default for beginning a new set of notes. I tested it becuz I had trouble before and the notes ran fine. Then I edited the text part of the notes and picked options that were availavle for the rest of the notes. But not when I run the notes, I get the above error. I have the same set of notes in another project and they run fine. I cannot find out where the error is. Please help.
sometimes, because of space, we want the note number to read horizontally but need the note text to read vertically. can this be done?

It's not immediately obvious to me what could be your trouble. You may need to be patient while we troubleshoot this.

Could you please open your project notes file in NOTEPAD or your favorite text editor and copy the contents to this forum thread? I am wondering if there is an error in the file based on the changes you made.

You can define a block that meets your specifications. Or you can probably use grip editing to move and rotate the attributes as you mention. If this is a standard of your firm, you probably will want to define blocks and save them.

I started again from scratch and used the default notes to start and when I ran the notes, they ran fine.

But after editing the text and picking options available for the unit and quantity, running the notes gave me the same error.

Can you check your error codes and tell me where to begin looking?

Please help. I really have a large project I am working on and to have to do the notes manually would be very cumbersome.[/code]

I'm going to try to get this issue resolved for you. We may need to have a telephone call.

error

Postby myrna kuki » Tue May 27, 2008 3:18 pm

I found the answer by accident.
I had in the notes to read line 6 for qty.
But I had an older block in for a bubble that didn't have a line 6 so that was the error.
I only found it because I was preparing to do it manually and wanted all my qtys in the same place and the 3rd bubble I went to edit had no line 6.

good luck to everyone like I had

Whew! This sounds like an error we can catch. Thanks for finding it! I will add a handler for the error.

You are welcome.

I only found it by accident.

But I did recognize it when I saw it.

Thank goodness.
