Quantity take-off sheet-by-sheet breakdown

Postby restored » Wed Jan 16, 2008 11:35 am

Good morning,

I have a question about the final tally command for Notes. It used to be that it would display each note and the corresponding sheets that the particular note was on. Is there a way to get it to show that again? Thank you for your help.

Mike,

Thanks for your kind question. Hopefully I can solve your problem promptly.

The sheet-by-sheet breakdown (tabulation) for the Quantity Take-off is now in a CSV file (same folder and name as drawing, but a CSV extension) that you can open in Excel or any other program that can open comma-separated-value text files. One advantage of this is that you can easily do cost estimates without typing any descriptions or quantities. Simply add unit prices and formulas within your spreadsheet program. For a free spreadsheet program that does all this and opens and saves compatible Excel files, go to http://www.openoffice.org. It works.

Here is a screen shot of the sheet-by-sheet breakdown: http://constructionnotesmanager.com/sup ... ff-csv.PNG

Here is the article from the tutorial:

Does that do what you need? If not, please explain further below. And thanks for using Construction Notes Manager.
